Wan 3.0 in Pixogen — Motion Prompts, Credits and When to Use It

Wan 3.0 is a motion engine, not a new brand

Wan 3.0 landed in Pixogen as model slug wan-3 with a 7-credit default on image-to-video. The stills you already locked on Flow 1 or Seedream 5 do not need to be remade. You only re-run motion. That is why this guide exists on day one of the badge: so the model page is not an orphan.

Credit math

A 5–8 second Wan 3 clip is 7 credits on the current button. Four hero Reels in a week is 28 credits before upscale. Video upscale is a second job. If the still is weak, fix the still first — motion will not invent a better face.

Credits never expire. Failed jobs refund automatically. Do not budget as if a missed render is gone. Packs start at 200 credits for $19.99; a launch week for a persona is usually cheaper than one stock-license bundle.

Pipeline on Pixogen

Start from a locked reference still. Open Image to Video, pick Wan 3.0, use one camera clause from /prompts/motion. If fabric or hair smears, drop back to Wan 2.7 (6 credits) before you burn another 7. Lip sync is a later job on Pixogen Sync, not a Wan setting.

Model routing

Use Wan 3 for fashion motion, hair, cloth and longer continuous takes. Stay on Seedance 2.5 when you need a 30-second single shot. Kling 3 remains the “safe cinematic” fallback. Compare them on /models/compare, not in a tweet.

If you are choosing an engine for the first time, open /models/compare. Portraits, motion, lipsync and photoreal each have a different default. Wan 3.0 is the motion hero as of this writing; Nano Banana 2 still wins in-image text.

Mistakes that waste credits

• Re-generating the face inside the video prompt — identity drift in 8 seconds.
• Stacking three camera moves in one clause — smears more than it directs.
• Skipping the still lock and prompting a celebrity.

Publish checklist

1. Lock identity before you batch.
2. Write the credit total on the brief so the client sees the number before the job.
3. Export clean — no watermark — then brand in your editor.
4. Ping the changelog if this guide rode a model drop.
